What Causes Ringing in the Ears
Do you suffer from ringing in the ears? Is it starting to affect your everyday life?
Did you know that ringing in ears or tinnitus affects almost 20% of the population to some degree? Whether that’s simply the irritation of a constant low-level hum or it’s impossible to concentrate or sleep for intrusive roaring or rushing sounds, tinnitus can make life extremely difficult for some people.
What causes ringing in the ears?
The characteristic ringing, buzzing, rushing or roaring noises reported by tinnitus sufferers are caused when the brain cells in your auditory pathway start to fire repetitively. This repetitive action is usually caused by some sort of damage to your hearing, whether that’s from a blow to the ear, an infection, or from listening to music at high volume.
The level of noise experienced can range from unobtrusive ringing in the ear which is only noticeable when it’s quiet, too intrusive whooshing or roaring noises, which sound like the blood rushing through the veins in your head.
If you’re constantly aware of your ears ringing, it can affect your ability to hear properly, and it may be time to seek some kind of ringing in ears treatment.
An effective and long-lasting treatment for ringing in the ears
Our Sound Therapy treatment for ringing in the ears has been developed using a unique filtering process which, when applied to classical music, has the ability to reach 10 key centers within the brain. As the sounds reach the brain, they stimulate the brain’s activity and enable it to build new hearing pathways, which in turn stimulate and enhance the responsiveness of the auditory system. It also means an end to the repetitive firing of the tinnitus signals which cause the ringing in the ears.
A non-invasive treatment for ringing in the ears for home use
Not only is our treatment non-invasive but it can be administered by you, in your own home. There’s no need to visit a clinic or surgery, and all our consultations are conducted via Skype or over the phone by one of our Sound Therapy qualified sound therapists.
All you need do is listen to our ringing in the ears sound therapy on a music player via headphones. There’s no need to turn the volume up high or listen attentively. Simply put on your headphones, press play and get on with your normal activities. You can even watch TV or listen to music during the therapy. And as the sound waves reach the deep layers of the brain even when you’re asleep, you can take a well-earned nap if you need one.
Visit your doctor as some kinds of ringing in ears can be treated
We recommend that you see a doctor or specialist if you have a problem with ringing in the ears as they can not only offer advice on what causes ringing in the ears, but they can determine whether the underlying causes of your tinnitus can be treated.
It may be that the ringing in the ear you are experiencing has been caused by a build-up of wax, which can be easily treated by your doctor. Other treatable causes of ringing in ears include impaired blood circulation or the side-effects of certain medications.
However, while some forms of ringing in the ears can be treated by your doctor, you may be told that there is no cure for tinnitus and that you’ll just have to learn to live with it.
Sound Therapy as an alternative to noise suppression tactics
Prior to trying our Sound Therapy, many people have tried an alternative treatment for ringing in the ears.
Noise suppression is often recommended as a ringing in ears treatment, with doctors suggesting that you use anything from white noise to fans to provide a continuous wave of noise. However, this kind of treatment only masks the noise rather than treating the cause.
And that’s where our Sound Therapy is different. Our tinnitus treatment uses specially designed sound waves to travel right to the heart of the problem that, with continuous use, will help to retrain your brain and build new auditory pathways.
A non-invasive treatment for ringing in the ears
Our ringing in ears sound wave therapy is totally non-invasive. All you have to do is listen to recordings of classical music through headphones and let the sound waves work their magic.
By traveling through the auditory system to the auditory cortex they stimulate the system to create new pathways and bypass the damaged areas that are causing the ringing.
While our treatment can significantly improve the hearing and tinnitus symptoms of every tinnitus sufferer, no matter how long-standing or severe the symptoms, we do advise that you start the treatment as early as possible for the best results.
Our sound wave therapy can also be used to treat other hearing issues from hearing loss caused by blocked sinuses and blocked ears or pressure ear to vertigo and dizziness.
