Simple hygiene saves children

Those who have read my books and my blog will know that I care about people’s hearing and hope to help reduce the suffering many people have with ear problems. Those who have read my books and my blog will know that I care about people’s hearing and hope to help reduce the suffering many people have with ear problems.
I also feel strongly about the suffering of people in poor countries who cannot get adequate nutrition and water. Since a young age I have wanted to make a difference to those who do not have access to basic necessities.
The charity I support is Oxfam because of their philosophy of empowering local groups and supporting the community structures in traditional societies. This is a more effective and long term solution because it helps people to help themselves.
Between now and Christmas Sound Therapy International will be donating part of the proceeds from every sale to Oxfam for their clean safe water appeal.
Around the world, unsafe water and poor sanitation causes 80% of diseases and kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Tragically one child dies every 15 seconds from a dirty water disease, which is why I am extremely grateful for Oxfam’s ingeniously simple clean-water solutions. Oxfam’s revolutionary product is a plastic bucket with a lid and a dispensing tap.• It is big enough but not too heavy to carry on a person’s head• Easy to stack, transport and deliver• Has a tight fitting lid to prevent spills• Has a tap to prevent contaminating the waterOxfam’s Hygiene Kit includes a bucket, soap and oral rehydrating salts to prevent cholera from spreading.
Your purchase will help us to contribute to Oxfam Australia’s water appeal, providing families with clean safe water and hygiene training that can mean the difference between life and death.
